For all those close to
the Voortrekker Monument on the west side of Pretoria, please visit the
lovely K53 Parking Test Practice track. This is the closest that a learner driver can
come to the real test. This track has level parking spaces (like Rayton,
Bronkhorstspruit and Midrand) and others that are against a slope as is the
case at certain testing centres (such as at Centurion and Waltloo).
Come and enjoy
sharpening your driving skills in the peaceful surroundings of historic
interest, surrounded by rolling hills usually baking in the hot Pretoria
sunshine.
The specifications of this track are exactly the
same as those of the municipal testing centres and also according to the
specifications prescribed by the Road Traffic Act.
The track is already used by
65 or more different
Driving Schools in the Pretoria area as well as many private people. There
are toilets and refreshments available.
The cost is R20-00 per hour
plus R5.00 entrance fee at the gate to use
the track and it is open 6 days a week from 07:00 to 16:30. It is
temporarily closed on Sundays.
The track can
accommodate 9 cars at the same time. It is also very safe as the premises
are guarded by Security.
Please note:
This is a nature
reserve and a low speed limit MUST be maintained at all times. This is not
the place for showing off with boy racer driving!
